Dinner with the Stars: … ahead!
After ten years the show goes on the road of great cuisine and solidarity. In this decade there have been many achievements, and have remained unchanged of enthusiasm and determination to achieve new goals.
As in the past, even for the 2016 edition will be many important names in Italian cuisine who are here with us to share our solidarity project.
Stregthen the cooperation of the starred chefs brigade, consisting of Antonino Cannavacciuolo of Villa Crespi (Orta San Giulio), Marco Sacco of Piccolo Lago (Verbania-Lake Mergozzo), Massimiliano Celeste of Il Portale (Verbania-Pallanza), Marta Grassi of Tantris (Novara) and Fabrizio Tesse of La Locanda di Orta (Orta San Giulio).
Particularly prestigious event will be the presentation of the “Alessi” career achievement award to Alfonso Jaccarino, tied to the territory because he studied at the renowned hotel school “E. Maggia “of Stresa. He is also author, with his wife Livia and sons Mario and Ernesto, of the gourmet village Don Alfonso 1890 in Sant’Agata on the two gulfs on the Sorrento Peninsula. A story of hospitality that has been handed down for over a century, and which has been the engine of excellence of catering at the Amalfi Coast. It was the 3 Michelin stars farther south than ever throughout Europe, and it is still a source of ideas with the cooking school and farm located right in front of Capri. The dessert of the evening prepared by the chefs will be his creation.
All the starred chefs of the evening will be awarded – to thank them for their presence and participation over the years – and will be re-introduced the award to the “emerging chef” in recognition of a young cook active in the territory.
Another news is the presentation of the aperitif: next to “Casera” of Eros Buratti, won’t miss, as a tradition, the combination of “oysters from Britain and champagne”, but there will be also a corner dedicated to pizza-gourmet curated by gourmet Pizzeria La Piedigrotta of Varese of chef Antonello Cioffi. After dinner, tasting Gorgonzola Igor Gran Riserva Leonardi, accompanied by Marsala Florio aged. At the table mineral water San Pellegrino and Panna, the Lavazza coffee, the chocolates of Chocolate Stresa and “Grappa di Pettenasco – Cascina Eugenia”
The proceeds of the evening, organized by the “Onlus Committee The Stars on Lake Orta” in collaboration with the Committee Club Novara, will be donated to the Convent of the Capuchin Friars of San Nazzaro della Costa of Novara and the Community of Sant ‘Egidio. Dinner in the beautiful setting of the hotel “L’Approdo” Pettenasco, will be presented by journalists Marianna Morandi and Alberto Schieppati.
